Saramonic has just announced its new Saramonic Blink 500 B2+ wireless microphone system for content creators. It can record up to two people to cameras, computers, or mobile devices. Each transmitter has a built-in microphone and a dual-channel receiver that attaches to your camera's shoe mount or plugs directly into your device via the included USB-C. With a wireless operating range of up to 150 meters (492 feet), you are ensured with clear audio. The system features built-in omnidirectional microphones that can clip or be mounted with a magnet to the subject. The battery runtime is claimed to be up to 20 hours for the transmitters and 16 hours for the receiver.

DJI Mic II: 32-bit Internal Recording

DJI Mic 2 hits the list with its 32-bit float internal recording capability. This not only delivers high-quality recording but also adapts seamlessly to complex sound environments. We covered this more in-depth back in January as well. You can capture audio using the increasingly crowded and interference-prone 2.4GHz frequency. It is equipped with 8GB of internal storage per transmitter, which will give you up to 14 hours of recording using uncompressed 48kHz 24-bit audio. The transmission range is claimed as 250 meters (820 ft.) in ideal conditions. It comes with a lavalier mic accessory. One of the extra safety features is its Safety Track feature, allowing content creators to record a second track at -6dB alongside the primary audio track.

RØDE Wireless GO II: Ready for Run-and-Gun

We first reviewed the RØDE Go II microphone back in March 2021, and it is still very much one of the best options for wireless microphone. The sound quality is great in this range, with plenty of options in the mic’s software to adjust settings, gain and other parameters. GO II has improved transmission with a longer range of 200 meters compared to the previous model at 70 meters. The microphone has IV 2.4GHz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption that is suitable busy areas such as inner cities or crowded events. Since the Wireless GO II can handle two transmitters at once, it features the ability to switch between stereo or dual-mono output modes. This enables each transmitter to be recorded to a separate channel (great for back up!).
