RESOLVE EDITING 101 - 01. Setting up and importing media. The definitive tutorial series about video editing with Resolve

1 minute read

Blackmagic DesignLearn how to drive one of the most powerful NLEs out there

No discussion of video editing can now take place without mentioning Blackmagic's DaVinci Resolve. Over the last two years, Blackmagic has added powerful editing features to the highly rated colour grading application, and we now have exclusive access to a series of ten videos that will show you how to make the most of them.

The good news is that you don’t have to understand grading to use the editing features. In fact, you can dive right in and start editing without going anywhere near the colour capabilities of Resolve (although they’re never far away if you need them).

Here are the first three tutorials in an initial series of ten. The videos, which are made in conjunction with Blackmagic and presented by Darren Mostyn from Online Creative, walk you through the stages of using Resolve as a standalone Non Linear Editor.

We know that this is going to be popular, so we’ve put the tutorials in their own “category” in RedShark. They’ll always be there - so you can start right away, or come back when you’ve got some spare time.

The first video, RESOLVE EDITING 101 - 01. Setting up and importing media, is below.

Today you can also view RESOLVE EDITING 101 - 02. Basic Editing and RESOLVE EDITING 101 - 03. Creative Editing.

Keep watching for the next ones. They’ll be posted soon.

You can access all the tutorials in the series here.
