My RØDE Reel returns with massive $250,000 Prize 

The popular, global short film competition, My RØDE Reel, is back for 2021 and the prize money is worth an astounding $250,000 USD! There are other prizes, including plenty of gear from RØDE and more.

As My RØDE Reel explains, you simply make a short film (up to 3 minutes long) along with a behind-the-scenes video, and submit it for consideration by October 20, 2021, plus an audience film award. This is the 8th year of the competition and it’s truly the largest in the world.

My RØDE Reel began in 2014 and quickly grew in popularity as over 20,000 filmmakers have submitted films from 100-plus countries.

Here’s how it works:

1. Create a My RØDE Reel account.
2. Download the starter pack here, which also includes access to Musicbed and MZed.
3. Produce and edit your short film, and remember, it can’t be longer than 3 minutes, plus you’ll need to use RØDE
4. Film and edit your behind-the-scenes video, which needs to include RØDE
5. Submit your film and BTS video (this one goes to YouTube, and you share the link) and relevant information (opening soon).
6. When it’s approved, it’ll appear on the My RØDE Reel Watch page. Make sure you share your film and tell friends, family, and co-workers to vote for your film! You could win the People’s Choice Prize.
7. Besides the big winner of the Judge’s Prize plus the People’s Choice Prize, there are also the Genre Prizes and others.
