Hands on with the S1H and ProRes RAW!

Video: We caught up with Panasonic ambassador Daimon Xanthopoulos to check out the benefits of the new S1H ProRes RAW update and why it is his primary go-to camera for his day-to-day work.

We’re not entirely sure what’s more impressive. The S1H ProRes RAW update, or the fact that RedShark’s Creative Director, Bas Goossens, managed to produce this video whilst maintaining full social distancing!

Panasonic ambassador Daimon Xanthopoulos tells us precisely why he prefers to use the S1H for documentary work over larger cameras. Daimon enthuses, “With this camera you can do a photo report, you can do a documentary. You can shoot anamorphic, you can shoot full-frame... So suddenly this has much more ability and much more wider use.”

He’s also quick to point out that while a lot of people might initially consider the S1H to be a B camera, it probably won’t take long before they recognise its ability to perform well as an A camera, too.
