And what better illustration could there be for this: the way you handle colour, highlights and blacks is as, if not more, important than anything else, including, ultimately, resolution.

Don't forget that to get a good "look", it still depends on the camera, because if you don't capture the light in the highlights properly in the first place, you can't put it back in later.

Here, then, is The ARRI Alexa NAB Showreel. And what it shows us most of all is that "Video" is a completely inadequate expression for the thing that has replaced film.
