Apple have announced performance enhancements and price reductions on the 13" and 15" Macbook Pros with Retina display.
In the UK prices of the 13" Macbook Pro with Retina display have dropped to £1249.00 for the dual core 2.5Ghz model with 128GB SSD and £1449 for the dual core 2.6Ghz model with 256GB SSD.
The 15" Macbook Pro with Retina display has dropped to £1799 for the quad core 2.4Ghz model with 256GB SSD and £2299 for the quad core 2.7Ghz model with 512GB SSD, which now also comes with 16GB RAM as standard.
The 13" Macbook Pro with Retina display has a screen resolution of 2560x1600 whilst the 15" model comes in at 2880x1800. Both of these machines are fast, light and eminently portable and would make ideal mobile systems for Adobe CS6 or even the Mac version of Lightworks (when it arrives).
Blackmagic also added full support for the 15" Macbook Pro with Retina display to Resolve in the recent 9.1 update.
