LED lighting in still photography and video is problematic because even though you can approximate a white-looking light, there are gaps in the spectrum that can leave some colours under-illuminated

Here's a very short video by Alan Roberts, for the EBU, where he illustrates the problem. This is something that we are all going to have to get to grips with if we continue to use LED lighting.
